Frequently asked questions
How many tools does FavTray include?
FavTray includes 15 tools: Eye Rest Timer, AI Usage Tracker, Window Manager, Keep Alive (Move Mouse), Cloud Costs, System Info, Port Kill, Menu Bar Manager, GitHub Notifications, Reminders, Meetings, AI Writer, Screenshot, Agent Sessions, and FavShelf — a Dynamic Island for the Mac notch (included with any paid plan). All are accessible from a single menu bar icon.
Which tools are free?
Eye Rest Timer, Port Kill, and Menu Bar Manager are completely free forever. AI Usage Tracker, Window Manager, and System Info have free core versions. Keep Alive, Cloud Costs, GitHub Notifications, Reminders, Meetings, AI Writer, and Screenshot require Pro (₹49/month).
Can I enable only the tools I need?
Yes. Each tool is independent. Enable or disable any tool from the sidebar. Disabled tools use zero system resources.
Does FavTray require macOS Sonoma?
Yes. FavTray requires macOS 14.0 (Sonoma) or later and runs natively on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. FavTray offers a 30-day full Pro trial with no credit card required. After the trial, free tools continue working and Pro features revert to their free versions.
Is FavTray private?
FavTray is local-first by design: no account, no cloud sync, no analytics, no telemetry. Your stats, clipboard, calendar, screenshots, and reminders live only on your Mac, and credentials sit in the macOS Keychain. The network is used only where a feature IS the network — AI actions go directly to the AI endpoint, GitHub polling talks straight to api.github.com, weather fetches forecasts, and license activation contacts our server with just your license key. Nothing else ever leaves your machine.
