Knows Your Workday
He wanders the Dock and stops for a bit — thinking, typing, a laugh, a jump — but sits down when Wind-down says you're done for today, and switches to typing when a Focus session is running.
Reacts To You
Click him and he reacts — wave, jump, celebrate. Keep poking and he gets fed up and runs off. Sweep the mouse anywhere on screen and he turns to follow it; bring the pointer down by the Dock and he walks over.

Full quality animation while he's up, and a still picture while he rests. On battery, the notch asks (on unplugging, and every 30 minutes after) to plug in the charger or turn him off.
Yours To Turn Off
Right-click him any time for "Hide Max" — gone instantly, no settings hunt. Turn him back on from the Dock Modules list whenever you want him back.

Questions
Is Max the same character as the My Dock Buddies app?
Same character design, different product. My Dock Buddies is a standalone app just for the character. Max inside FavTray is one of FavTray's Dock Modules — it's wired into your actual workday (Wind-down, Focus sessions, battery status) instead of running on its own.
Do I need to buy Max separately?
No. Max is included free with any FavTray Pro or Lifetime plan — there's nothing extra to purchase. If you're already Pro or Lifetime, he's on by default; just right-click to hide him if you'd rather not have him.
Can I turn Max off?
Yes, two ways: right-click him and choose "Hide Max" for an instant toggle, or flip his switch in the Dock Modules list in Settings. Either way the choice is remembered across relaunches.
Does Max slow down my Mac or drain the battery?
He renders at full quality while he's walking, which costs roughly 5% CPU. When he rests — tired, done for the day, or you've stepped away for five minutes — he becomes a still picture and the 3D engine shuts down, so the cost drops to near zero. On battery power, FavTray proactively asks — right when you unplug, and every 30 minutes after — whether to plug back in or turn him off, so it's never a silent drain.
Does Max send any data anywhere?
No. Max sends nothing about you and has no telemetry. A licensed install downloads his model once from FavTray; after that he works offline. The only outbound link is the "Open My Dock Buddies…" item in his right-click menu, which opens that website in your browser if you choose to click it.
What does he actually do?
He walks the length of your Dock and pauses for random bits — thinking, typing, waving, jumping, celebrating, a quick run. Click him and he reacts; poke him five times fast and he runs off. Move your mouse anywhere on screen and he'll turn and follow the sweep.
