macOS desktop widgets: weather, calendar, reminders, stocks at a glance
Since macOS Sonoma you can put widgets on the desktop (right-click the desktop › Edit Widgets) and use your iPhone's widgets too. They're the zero-effort dashboard for the basics, but you can only show what an installed app offers. You can't point a widget at your own data without writing an app.
