Installing FavTray
FavTray is signed with an Apple Developer ID, so it installs like any other Mac app: download, drag to Applications, open. Under a minute, and there's nothing to work around.

On first launch you'll see the standard “downloaded from the Internet” confirmation — click Open and you're done.

Install FavTray
macOS 14.0 (Sonoma) or later- Download the FavTray DMG and double-click it.
- Drag FavTray onto the Applications folder in the window that opens.
- Open your Applications folder and double-click FavTray.
- macOS asks once: “FavTray is an app downloaded from the Internet. Are you sure you want to open it?” — click Open.
- FavTray appears in your menu bar. Grant the permissions it asks for as you use each tool.

Older builds
Upgrading from 1.11.0 or earlier?
Only if you installed FavTray before it was signed- Earlier builds shipped unsigned, so macOS may still show “FavTray is damaged and can't be opened” for the copy already in your Applications folder.
- Drag the old FavTray from Applications to the Trash first.
- Download the latest version and install it fresh using the steps above.
- Your settings, licence and history are kept — they live in your user Library, not in the app.
